Jamie Hodgson is an aerialist, acrobat and fire-eater available for a wide range of performance situations. She has experience with static and dance trapeze, aerial fabric (also known as silks or tissue), lyra, partner acrobatics, character work and fire-eating, both as a soloist and in group pieces. She has a portable, free standing aerial rig available for outdoor use and can adapt and set up rigging in many different indoor environments.
Jamie discovered circus arts while playing Rugby for the University of Georgia and considered it a logical next step. She began her aerial training on the dance trapeze at Canopy Studios in Athens, Ga where she met Elsie and Serenity of Gemini Trapeze and Nimble Arts. In 2004 she moved to New England to continue and broaden her studies with Nimble Arts and complete the teacher training and professional track programs. Jamie currently resides in Hartford, CT, but is more often travelling to teach at Nimble Arts (now New England Center for Circus Arts) and Circus Smirkus Summer camp, or on the road performing with the Aerial Angels and Girls on Trapeze.
